Hello! I was born in São Paulo, Brasil and I'm a freelance illustrator specializing in children's illustrations for literature, educational and non-fiction books.
I have been illustrating since 2014 and over these years I worked with Brazilian publishers like Moderna and Editora do Brasil, as well as international clients such as TPRS Books and selected independent authors from around the globe. I have also written, illustrated and self published my own picture book called Cookie, which I'm very proud of and you can see here on my portfolio.
While illustration is my greatest passion, I’m equally drawn to hand lettering and children's books design. Working on picture books allows me to combine all three, making every project an opportunity to immerse myself in what I love most. I would also love to work on more books for children, such as non-fiction books like "Charlie Brown's Super Book of Questions and Answers", which was one of my treasures while growing up.
My work primarily involves digital painting, collage, and inking, but I also enjoy incorporating traditional techniques like pencil, pen and ink, watercolors, and colored pencils when the project calls for it. I value simplicity in my illustrations but I also enjoy adding details and textures in my work. I believe this enriches the story being told and adds interest. Linework is also a major component of my illustrations and I just love how a few simple lines can convey emotion and movement.
When I'm not illustrating you can find me hanging out with my cats Nenê and Morcego, sewing or enjoying some lazy time on the couch. My favorite themes are outr color is lilac, favorite international band is Led Zeppelin, favorite Brazilian band is Capital Inicial and if you ask me the 80s and 90s were the coolest decades I've lived so far.
